Summer Fun at Place 1604
This summer, Place 1604 will host evenings focused on circus workshops and physical challenges. Summer Fun will be held in two sessions, July 12 and August 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., just before the outdoor cinema. Events will see participants challenged with various workshops where they could win participation prizes.
Circus workshops facilitated by professionals in the field will take place on July 12. Participants will be able to juggle, walk a tightrope, and use other tools such as Chinese plates and poi.
Sports will be featured for the August 9 session. Community groups will facilitate workshops for activities such as riding on a bike track, taekwondo, a mini training camp, unicycling, rope climbing and tennis.
Participants of each session will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift certificate for Mike’s Bike Shop, and participants of both events will be entered into a draw for a $500 gift certificate. To be eligible for the draws, participants must complete all eight stations, depending on the chosen level of difficulty.
The cost is $10 to register in advance and $12 to register on site. Online registration starts on June 26, 9 a.m. for residents and on June 28, 9 a.m. for non-residents. Children must be at least seven years of age on the day of registration to participate. Participants may choose different levels of difficulty when registering.
In case of rain, the activitiy will be held at the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre.
