Opening of new splash pad at Rotary St-Anselme Park
DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe will officially open the splash pad at the Rotary St-Anselme Park on Saturday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of Recreation and Parks Month.
The official ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a free family picnic organized by the Caisse Populaire Dieppe-Memramcook and Dieppe Rotary Club. A balloon artist and magician Rémi Boudreau will also be on hand.
The splash pad, covering 3,621 square meters, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is activated through motion detection. The pad has 32 jets, many of which are mounted on structures in the form of a frog, fountain, flower, water tunnel, geyser and more.
“I hope this summer will be as warm as last year’s and that people will use this new splash pad, says Sonya Babineau, Community Officer. The splash pad is also accessible to people with reduced mobility, she adds. There’s something for everyone!”
Some rules apply: children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult; no pets, food, beverages or glass objects are allowed on the premises.
In case of rain, the event will be moved to Sunday, June 28. Please check the Cancellation Info Line at 384-DIEP.
