Canada Games 2022
Hearty congratulations to Noah Beausoleil, a lifeguard at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre and member of the Bleu et Or swim club (CNBO), on his participation in the Canada Games this summer! Here’s how he did:
- 50 m men’s butterfly: 7
- 100 m men’s butterfly: 9
- 4 x 200 m men’s freestyle relay: 6
- 4 x 100 m mixed freestyle relay: 9
- 4 x 100 m men’s freestyle relay: 7
Junior Lifeguard Club
The Junior Lifeguard Club offers an alternative to traditional aquatics programs. It doesn’t include any of the usual progressions leading to a certificate. This club is designed for those who learn quickly and those who are between levels of programs and can perform well in a lively learning environment.

Prerequisite: Swimmer 6 and aged 8 to 13.
Workplace Standard First Aid
This course includes CPR level C. The Workplace Standard First Aid course provides training in all aspects of first aid, as well as covering the material in Emergency First Aid. It is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid, such as: the legal repercussions of administering first aid, spinal injuries, heat and cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries and medical emergencies. The Workplace Standard First Aid course is required for those taking the National Lifeguard training. There is no prerequisite for the Workplace Standard First Aid course.
The course will be offered on December 10 and 11 at a cost of $100.

Babysitting Course
The Babysitting course is for youth ages 11 to 15 who want to feel more responsible when they look after themselves or babysit other children. The session on Sunday, November 27, will be in English and the one on Sunday, December 4, will be in French. The cost is $50. Schedule for November 11
The Centre will be changing its programming on Friday, November 11, for Remembrance Day.
- 11:30 a.m. – 1:25 p.m. Lap swim
- 11:30 a.m. – 12:25 p.m. Adult swim
- 1:30 p.m. – 2:55 p.m. Public swim
The schedules for November 12 and 13 won’t change.

Private Lessons
Private swim lessons for youth ages 4 to 13 will be offered on December 10, 11, 17 and 18. The price is $45 for a 55-minute lesson.
Registration starts on Monday, November 21, at 6 p.m. for Dieppe residents and Wednesday, November 23, at 6 p.m. for non-residents. If you don’t have a profile number for registration, you will need to create one in advance at clic.dieppe.ca
