Update - Coronavirus
DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe wishes to inform the public that following the new directive given by the Chief Medical Officer of Health for New Brunswick, all employees who do not provide essential services are required to work from home until further notice. These measures are based on the information we currently have. They may change if the situation continues to develop.
EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTRE
The Municipal Emergency Operations Centre (COUM) is now activated at level 2. Its mandate is to coordinate the continuity of essential services and support the public health mission to reduce the propagation curve of COVID-19.
FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Following the recommendation of the Chief Medical Officer of Health of the province to not have groups of more than 10 people and to respect the social distance of 6 feet (2 metres), all our recreational facilities (except our neighbourhood parks and trails) are closed to the public until further notice.
City Hall, the Operations Centre and both fire halls are also closed to the public. City Hall staff will continue to work from home. You can contact us during normal business hours by calling 877.7900 or emailing info@dieppe.ca
PUBLIC WORKS
We continue to provide essential services such as the drinking water supply, water and sewer maintenance, waste collection, snow removal, fire protection service and more. Steps have been taken to protect the health of employees while continuing to provide essential services to our residents.
PAYMENTS
To pay your water and sewer bills, go to services.dieppe.ca
To make any payment by telephone (water and sewer bills, construction permit, fine, etc.) call 877.6753 to pay by credit card.
For any other billing question, call 877.5036.
MUNICIPAL COUNCIL MEETINGS
Council meetings will be available to the public only over the Web, both live and online recording, until further notice. Remote participation of council members and staff will be preferred and meetings will only be held on the 2nd Monday of the month for the time being. More details on this will be announced in the coming week.
We are in contact with the Province’s Emergency Measures Organization and are currently reviewing the plan to maintain service delivery (especially essential services) in the event of an emergency activation.
Additional measures may be added as directed by the New Brunswick Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. We will keep you informed through our usual channels.
