The 55+ Games begin this coming Wednesday
DIEPPE, NB — There’s a buzz in Dieppe as the city is preparing to host the New Brunswick 55+ Games that will be taking place from June 24-26.
This is the large-scale provincial event’s 12th bilingual edition, which is held every two years in different cities across the province and continues to grow in popularity. The organizing committee for the Dieppe Games hopes to welcome around 400 participants.
The 3-day competition includes golfing, bowling, athletics, cribbage, card games, darts, washers, shuffleboard, horseshoe and much more!
The 19 games will take place at the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre, the Rotary St-Anselme Park, the St-Anselme and Dieppe Club d’âge d’or, the Anna-Malenfant athletics tracks, in Riverview as well as the Maplewood golf club.
The mission of the 55+ Games is to improve the quality of life and wellness of New Brunswick citizens 55 years of age or older through sporting, recreational and cultural activities.
