Annual Open House at the Dieppe Fire Department

The City of Dieppe’s Fire Department invites the public to its Open House, taking place on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire station 1, located at 500 Gauvin Road.

During this year’s Fire Prevention Week, held under the theme of “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!”Fire department employees will review good practices to use daily with respect to fire hazards.

There will be inflatable play structures, face painting, guided tours of the fire station and an exhibition of emergency vehicles. The public will also have the chance to test out the fire hoses and enjoy a community BBQ benefitting the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada.

Each year, Fire Prevention Week is organized in several municipalities across the country with its mission being to make the public aware of the importance of fire safety.
