Three self-serve bicycle repair stations installed
It is now possible for cyclists riding in Dieppe to use three Biciborne repair stations recently installed in the municipality. Equipped with a stand, a number of tools and an air pump, these self-sufficient stations make it possible to inflate tires and carry out a few simple repairs on bicycles and strollers. Made of steel and manufactured in Canada, the stations are weather resistant and can be used on a self-serve basis.
"Bicibornes fit in perfectly with our Municipal Development Plan vision, which is to promote a healthy and sustainable community. The City of Dieppe has a large network of cycling trails, and it is a priority for us to improve their quality and safety for users. We want residents to favour active transportation, and Bicibornes are a way of making tools available to them," said André Frenette, Director of the Planning and Development Department for the City of Dieppe.
The repair stations are set up downtown in front of Dieppe Market, at Rotary St-Anselme Park, and along the Riverfront Trail. It's one more good reason to explore the municipality's 55 kilometres of walking and cycling trails!
