Dieppe seeks residents' input on new cultural policy
Acommittee made up of Dieppe residents and professional artists from the area has been formed to develop a draft cultural policy for the City of Dieppe.
The cultural policy seeks to be a tool that will guide the municipality’s role as a body that brings together various cultural stakeholders.
Before the policy is official adopted by council, we want to receive residents’ comments and suggestions regarding the four main themes and their strategies in order to include them in the policy. Here is a general overview of the themes:
- Economic development – A community’s economic vitality includes a place for the cultural industry.
- Cultural programming – Dieppe is an essential player in the emergence of new talent.
- Community engagement and vitality – The community ensures that culture plays a role in its day-to-day activities.
- Collective heritage – The promotion of local heritage places the focus on our history.
For further details, visit our website’s home page. Please send your suggestions by Thursday, March 28.
