Dieppe Celebrates Leisure
Many free activities for the entire family will be taking place on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dieppe Youth House, to celebrate Recreation and Parks Month.
“Every year, we dedicate a day to leisure to encourage people to discover and participate in the many activities the City organizes throughout the year. June also marks the beginning of our summer programming, which residents always enjoy,” says Sonya Babineau, Community Officer for the City of Dieppe.
The Dieppe Youth House, in partnership with the Greater Moncton Optimist Club, will be offering a skateboard safety session for youth aged 5 to 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the skatepark.
From 11 a.m. to noon, instructor Maryse Arseneau will be offering an outdoor yoga class.
Courses and open ringette and hockey matches will take place throughout the day at the outdoor ball-hockey rink.
A giant sandbox and inflatable games for kids will be on site all day. Equipment for maintaining municipal facilities will be displayed, and residents will be able to borrow books from the mobile library. Participants are also invited to bring a lunch for a community picnic.
