Dieppe celebrates Canada Day
Place 1604 will host outdoor family activities to celebrate Canada Day on July 1 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The official ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with the Mi’kmaq Honour Song, followed by a purification ceremony. This will be followed by the national anthem, performed by Angélie St Amand.
From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be a community BBQ (while supplies last), inflatable games, face painting and more. Singer Tina Gautreau and Famille Clown will host the event. There will also be a dance performance called “Jungle,” with performers suspended on ropes.
Traditional fireworks of the three communities, presented by the City of Dieppe, the City of Moncton and the City of Riverview, will begin at 10 p.m. at Riverfront Park in Moncton.
