Celebration during Heritage Week
The City of Dieppe invites resident to New Brunswick Heritage Week celebrations taking place from February 10-17. This year’s theme is New Brunswick Remembers (1914-2014), marking the 100th anniversary of the First World War and the 75th anniversary of the Second World War.
To celebrate Heritage week and its significant anniversary dates, the following events will be taking place:
- Monday, February 10 at 11 a.m.: wreath-laying ceremony at Place 1604 attended by the Mayor and the Dieppe Veterans Association;
- Sunday, February 16 at 2:30 p.m.: Heritage Week comes to a close at the Arthur-J.-LeBlanc Centre when Nils Liljemark, President of the Dieppe Veterans Association, drops the ceremonial first puck at the hockey game between the Dieppe Commandos and Campbellton Tigers.
