DIEPPE, N.B. — The regular City Council meeting scheduled for Monday, June 8 has been cancelled and will be held on June 15 at 7 p.m. The Public Policies and Strategies committee meeting will follow.

Please note that the spring public swim and lap swim schedule is in place until Sunday, June 21. Schedule available at dieppe.ca.
The spring session of preschool and junior swim courses will end on Monday, June 8.
The next registration for junior swim courses will take place on Tuesday, June 9 at 6 p.m. for residents, and Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m. for non residents. Three blocks of 10 intensive courses will be offered from Monday to Friday for two weeks.

Overnight closure - Acadie Avenue / Amirault Street

DIEPPE, N.B. —The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Acadie Avenue/Amirault Street, between Alain-Gillette Street and Chartersville Road, will be completely closed Thursday, June 4 starting at 10 p.m. and will be reopened on Friday, June 5 at 6 a.m. This closure is to allow for the installation of culverts. Detour signs will be in place.
It should be noted that businesses will remain accessible during business hours.

Update - Dieppe Fire Department rescue exercise

DIEPPE, N.B. — The Dieppe Fire Department held a practice rescue exercise as scheduled yesterday on the Petitcodiac River using a life-size 185-lb mannequin.
This mandatory exercise provides firefighters with the opportunity to rescue a person in the water without putting rescue personnel in danger will using a variety of situational scenarios.
One scenario involved placing the mannequin wearing a life jacket in a location known for having very strong undercurrent. The mannequin was pulled underwater...
