Closure of Thomas Street

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Thomas Street will be closed between Thaddée Street and Chardonnay Street, from Monday August 26 to Monday September 2, 2013, to install a sanitary trunk sewer.
A detour will be in place, via Gauvin Road, Pascal Avenue, and Chartersville Road.
The City regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your co-operation.

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe is pleased to welcome the Canadian Track Cycling Championships presented by Mike’s Bike Shop from Wednesday, August 28, to Sunday, September 1.
Don’t miss the best cyclists in the country at the Dieppe Velodrome. Competitions take place daily (rescheduled in case of rain) beginning at 10 a.m. and running until late afternoon.

Maintenance closure - Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre

DIEPPE (NB) — The Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre’s pools will be closed from Monday, August 26, until Monday, September 2 inclusively, for maintenance.
The reception will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. as well as Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Centre will reopen on Tuesday, September 3, with its fall schedule in effect.

DIEPPE (N.B.) — Tomorrow is the final day of activities for the 9th edition of Dieppe KITE International. Again this year, the festival has been a success.
Here’s the schedule of events for Sunday:

Ceremony to commemorate Dieppe Raid

DIEPPE, N.B. – The Dieppe War Veterans Association and the City of Dieppe are hosting a ceremony to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Dieppe Raid on Sunday, August 18, at Place 1604.
The raid, the most devastating of the Second World War, took place on August 19, 1942, on the beaches of Dieppe in Normandy, France. The losses were enormous for Canada: 913 soldiers died while 2,000 others became prisoners of war.
