Open Letter Regarding the Appointment of Kris Austin to the Official Languages Act Review Committee
It is with surprise, disappointment, and incomprehension that we learned of the appointment of Kris Austin to the Official Languages Act review committee.
As the largest francophone city in the province, we have a duty to add our voice to those who oppose this nomination. We are therefore obliged to denounce the absurdity of appointing a person who has demonstrated, since the beginning of his career...
Thomas Street Closure (November 9 and 10)

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Thomas Street, between Dolbeau and Chardonnay streets, will be completely closed to traffic on Wednesday, November 9 and Thursday, November 10.
This closure is necessary in order to allow for the installation of water and sewer infrastructure. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
Motorists are encouraged to plan for longer travel times while the work is being carried out.

Remembrance Day commemoration in Dieppe

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe, in collaboration with the Dieppe Military Veterans Association, will be holding a ceremony on Friday, November 11 at École Mathieu-Martin (511 Champlain Street) to commemorate Remembrance Day.
The parade, made up of veterans, cadets and members of the RCMP, will form up at 10:30 a.m. and will make its way indoors for the ceremony that commemorates the signing of the Armistice, formalizing the end of World War I in 1918.

New Construction Record in 2022 for the City of Dieppe

DIEPPE, NB — The City of Dieppe has once again beaten its construction record. Up to now this year, it has issued 497 permits representing total investments of over $108 million. This beats the previous record of $101.9 million established in 2021.
Of these permits, 92 are for commercial, industrial and institutional projects authorized up to October 31, totalling investments of around $16 million, and the other 405 permits represent residential projects, for $92.1 million in investments.
