On the lookout for young athletes

DIEPPE, N.B. — Children from 6 to 11 years of age are invited to take part in the 12 Challenges activity at École Anna-Malenfant’s track and field in Dieppe.
The sport challenge activity will place over four Tuesday evenings on May 7, 14, 21 and 28.
Three different athletics challenges will take place each week, including sprint, steeplechase, cross-country, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, high jump, triple jump, relay, standing long jump and agility games.

DIEPPE, N.B. — There is still time to register for aquatic fitness courses offered this spring at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre.
Here is the list of courses available from April 15 to June 21:

Registration for 20th annual edition of Pepsi Cup

DIEPPE, N.B. — For the 20th consecutive year, the City of Dieppe is hosting the Pepsi Cup, a series of eight mountain bike races for youth aged 9 to 15 at Rotary St-Anselme Park.
Registration will take place at Mike’s Bike Shop, 67 Englehart Street, on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on two consecutive Thursdays – April 18 and 25 from 4-7 p.m. Visit dieppe.ca to fill out a registration form, or you may do so on site.

Making our city greener

A new program has been launched to make our city a greener place! This program offers mature trees at a very reasonable cost to residents who do not have trees in front of their homes.
Eligibility requirements:
- One tree per residence, with a possibility of two trees for residences located on a street corner;
- There can be no existing trees on the land in front of the home;
- There must be sufficient space to plant the tree and to ensure it has enough space to grow;

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe is seeking comments and suggestions from residents until Tuesday, April 23, regarding potential improvements to the public transit system serving the municipality.
Open-house sessions will also take place on Wednesday, March 27, and Wednesday, April 3, between 6 and 8 p.m. in the foyer of Dieppe City Hall.
