Cancellation – Garbage collection for Friday, January 5

DIEPPE (NB) — In anticipation of the winter storm that will affect our region today and tomorrow, the garbage collection for Friday, January 5 has been postponed to Saturday, January 6.
Please place garbage at curbside no earlier than 6 p.m. on the day before the scheduled day of collection, and no later than 4 a.m. on the scheduled day of collection.
Due to the expected heavy snow accumulation, residents are also asked not to leave Christmas trees at curbside to prevent them from being buried or frozen...
New Year's Eve celebrations moved to Wingate Hotel

DIEPPE, N.B. – Due to the extreme cold weather forecast for our region, New Year’s Eve celebrations will take place inside the Wingate Hotel located at 69 Marché Street.
Beginning at 8:30 p.m., come see musical performances by Nobie Jones Band, followed by The BackYard Devils, with a closing performance by Izabelle. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.
At midnight, fireworks will light up the sky to welcome the New Year.
Christmas tree pickup

DIEPPE, (NB) — The City of Dieppe wishes to advise residents that the Christmas tree pickup for households with regular weekly garbage collection on:
- TUESDAY, will be held on Tuesday, January 9
- WEDNESDAY, will be held on Wednesday, January 10
- FRIDAY, will be held on Friday, January 12
Christmas trees may be placed at curbside a few days before the scheduled pickup, but cannot be frozen in the snowbank.

Sleigh rides are back at Rotary St-Anselme Park

Dieppe, N.B. – The public is invited to Rotary St-Anselme Park every Sunday from January 7 to March 18 to enjoy a sleigh ride along the trails.
Between 1 and 4 p.m., come take a 30-minute ride through the wintry scenes of Rotary St-Anselme Park's trails on a horse-drawn sleigh. The whole family can take part; the cost is only $2 per person, and it's free for children under two.
Private rides are also available for groups of 25 people at a cost of $150. This is a great opportunity...
Adoption of 2018 municipal budget

DIEPPE, NB – Dieppe City Council adopted its 2018 operating budgets totalling $66.8 million during its regular public meeting held on December 11. Of this amount, $54.1 million will go toward the general operating budget while $12.7 million will go toward the water and sewer budget.
Capital spending budgets were also passed at the meeting: $11.9 million for the general capital budget and $3.1 million for the water and sewer capital budget.
