PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the Municipalities Act, the Dieppe Municipal Council intends to proceed with the adoption of the following Municipal By-Law by reading the title and section numbers only at the Dieppe Municipal Council public meeting scheduled on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 7 p.m.:

Tribute to veterans

DIEPPE, N.B. — The City of Dieppe will be holding a Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday, November 11, to honour the signing of the armistice that ended the First World War in 1918.
A parade of veterans will form at 10:45 a.m. at École Anna-Malenfant, 500 Centrale Street, and will then proceed inside for the ceremony.

Pumpkin Festival in Dieppe

DIEPPE, N.B. — A number of activities are planned during the City of Dieppe’s Pumpkin Festival to be held on Sunday, October 28, at École Sainte-Thérèse.
The festivities start with a free concert by Art Richard from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a haunted house (lights on) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a haunted house (lights off) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
As well, there will be craft activities and many surprises. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free for everyone.

Work on Rufin Street

The City of Dieppe wishes to advise motorists that Rufin Street, between Dieppe Boulevard and Hartnett Street, will be closed to through traffic, on Wednesday, October 17, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to use Englehart and Hartnett Streets as a detour route.

Dieppe welcomes Olympic medalist Antoine Valois-Fortier

DIEPPE, N.B. – The City of Dieppe is proud to welcome the Olympic bronze medallist in the -81 kg category in Judo at the London Games. Antoine Valois-Fortier will be in attendance at CCNB-Dieppe (community college) at a reception from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 12.
The public is invited to meet Antoine to learn more about his Olympic experience.
