The Planning and Development Department of the City of Dieppe is comprised of two sectors, planning and building inspection.

The department is mainly responsible for the planning and development of new sub developments in the city, building inspections and public transportation.

The director of the department is André Daigle. Yvon Doiron has responsibility for building inspections.

24-hour Voicemail Service

A 24-hour voicemail service has been established for building permit holders. This will provide a priority service for building inspection or re-inspection as required by City of Dieppe Building By-Law no 5(1). The permit holder MUST contact the Inspection Department BEFORE:        1 – Backfilling foundation walls        2 – Installing insulation        3 – Occupying the building or completing its construction. Call 877-5025 and provide the information requested below. Please note that no inspection or re-inspection will be carried out without this information. -        Building permit number. This number appears in the upper right hand corner of the building permit.          Permit # ____________ - Construction phase for the required inspection (1, 2 or 3, as listed above). The voicemail will be checked at 8:30 a.m. from Monday to Friday. Inspections or re-inspections will be scheduled for the same day.
