Commercial Signage in Dieppe
The City of Dieppe to adopt a by-law on commercial signs
Dieppe City Council recently adopted a by-law in first reading that regulates external commercial signs. The by-law, which would apply to all new exterior commercial signs, stipulates that signs must be either in French or bilingual. The by-law, however, does not apply to existing commercial signs, temporary signs, internal signs or to corporate names.
During their meeting, Dieppe City Council also requested that the Greater Moncton Planning District Commission advise them on this matter. A meeting has been scheduled for January 18th, 2010 to receive comments on the proposed by-law. The meeting will be held in Council chambers at 7 p.m.
